It’s time for today’s inspiration! Here are several projects created with a few of our background stamps by members of the TE Creative Team:
This first card created by Melody Rupple features the Rough Draft Background and Splatter Background stamps. These distressed textures designs coordinate with so many different themes and adds a great look to step up your card designs. Melody embossed the Rough Draft Background stamp in clear on Toffee cardstock for a great tone on tone look and then added splatters with the Splatter Background stamp embossed in white. It’s the perfect backdrop to showcase the pretty bouquet of flowers from the Sketchbook Bouquet stamp set.
Background stamps are perfect for adding designs to blended backgrounds like Noriko Fairchild did here. She used Lollipop, Pineapple, and Cookie Monster inks to create a colorful rainbow blend on Sugar Cube cardstock with her Blender Brushes – check out the ‘bonus’ colors that are created where the inks overlap! Noriko embossed the Art From the Heart Background stamp over the blended background with a sticky embossing powder from her own stash and then applied rainbow foil over the top. The shiny rainbow over the blended rainbow is so much fun! Noriko cut the middle out of the background to create a frame and added sentiments into the opening from the Hey, Crafty Friend stamp set.
Jen Shults created a wintery look on this Christmas card by pairing a background blended with blue inks with the Snowed In Background stamp. She started with Sprinkles ink in the center of the card and and blended out to the cardstock edges with Blue Corn ink. The Snowed In Background stamp is embossed in white over the top and then Jen added the ‘merry & bright’ sentiment into the circle opening on the background. The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright stamp set, is stamped in Blue Corn ink and cut out with the coordinating die. This card design would be a great one to mass produce for sending out to family and friends for the holidays!
