Today’s video is from Heather Nichols. Watch below to see how she created this set of wintery cards using the new Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set with the Toffee Create-in-Quads paper pack:
In the video, Heather shares how to stencil the 4 layers from the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set using Sugar Cube, Blue Raspberry, and Blue Corn inks along with Happy Medium – Gold Glitter for the last layer. Once the snowflakes are stenciled, she cut them apart to use for backgrounds on four different cards. She added sentiments embossed in gold from the Get Cozy stamp set onto Blue Raspberry cardstock that are cut out with the Stitched Banner Stacklets die collection. She sprinkled a few Bits & Pieces – Snowflakes around the sentiments on each card to finish them off.
I just can’t get over how much fun it is to create four card background all at once with the Create-in-Quads concept! It’s perfect for mass production for when you want to send out a number of cards and it’s a great way to create gift sets of coordinating cards. Heather’s teal and blue color scheme is perfect for the winter season and I know it will bring a bit of sparkle to whomever she chooses to deliver them too.
Here’s a closer look at the products that we are releasing today along with inspiration from the TE Creative Team:
Our innovative new Create-in-Quads Layering Stencils make it easy to create four different A2 cards in minutes! Simply place your 8″ x 10 1/2″ cardstock panel within the etched guidelines on each stencil and apply the medium of your choice using the alignment squares to make sure everything lines up perfectly. When you’re done, just cut the finished panel into quarters to reveal a family of A2 card fronts.
Create-in-Quads Snowflake is perfect for mass-producing gorgeous seasonal cards without ever getting bored by making the same card over and over. The four designs can be used on their own, or you can add sentiments and embellishments to make each one extra special.
Melody Rupple stenciled the snowflakes on this set of cards using Spearmint, Mint Julep, Gumball, and Blue Corn inks onto Sugar Cube cardstock. She cut out each of the background panels with a Stitched Rectangle Stacklets die and layered them onto a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die cut. The sentiments from the Winter Blessings stamp set (keep scrolling for more details!) are embossed in white on Blue Corn cardstock and I love the extra details that Melody added to each card – especially the cute striped mittens created with the Cozy Winter Stencil & Clear Combo set!
You don’t need a lot of color to create a gorgeous effect with the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set! Emily Mydlowski used a neutral color scheme on this set of cards, stenciling with Sugar Cube, Poppy Seed, and Oreo inks on Toffee cardstock. Emily added great details to each card to complete them: extra snowflakes cut out with the Make a Snowflake die collection, the cute polar bear created with the Snow Squad Die & Clear Combo set, framed sentiments from the new Get Cozy stamp set (more on this new stamp set below), and more!
You’ll never run out of sentiments for winter themed cards when you have our Clearly Crafty Get Cozy stamp set. Set in a clean, sans-serif font with simple linear accents, this set includes a variety of ways to express your warm wishes for the winter season:
- sending you a flurry of birthday wishes
- get cozy
- snow many thanks
- warm hugs
- baby it’s cold outside
- may your season sparkle
- let it snow
- sending warm wishes
- brrr…
Jill Hawkins stamped sentiments from the Get Cozy stamp set on each of the cards she created with the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set. The snowflakes are stenciled in pretty pastel ink tones and I love the way that Jill used one of the frames from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate die to cut out and pop up a portion of the backgrounds to add dimension.
Jen Shults stamped the sentiments from the Get Cozy stamp set onto notched banners cut out with the Double-Ended Flag Stacklets die collection. She added the banners to the snowy backgrounds created with the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set. The snowflakes are stenciled in pretty jewel toned ink colors and Jen did a color blend with each stencil layer. A few Snow Flurries sequins are the perfect sparkly finishing touch!
Make a statement with your holiday cards when you use the pretty sentiments from our Winter Blessings stamp set. Featuring a trendy serif font with extra tails and flourishes, the seasonal sentiments include:
- thanks snow much
- winter blessings
- hello winter
- let it snow
- warm wishes
- brrr…
Set coordinates with the Winter Blessings die collection (sold separately).
The sentiments from the Winter Blessings stamp set really stand out on this set of wintery cards by Noriko Fairchild. She embossed the sentiments in white on Blue Corn cardstock, cut them out with the coordinating dies, and added them to the backgrounds created with the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set. The backgrounds are stenciled with jewel toned blends on Toffee cardstock and Noriko added a layer of sparkle with Happy Medium – Iridescent Glitter.
This colorful, wintery card set was created by Kavya. She stenciled the snowflakes onto several cardstock colors with the Create-in-Quads Snowflake Layering Stencil set using Sugar Cube ink and ink a shade darker than the cardstock color to create a stunning monochromatic look on each background. One of the layers is done with Happy Medium – Gold Glitter to add shimmer and shine. The backgrounds are cut out with the Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die collection and Kavya added shading around the edges for extra dimension. The sentiments from the Winter Blessings stamp set are embossed in white and cut out with the coordinating dies.
