Today’s video comes to you from Emily Leiphart. Emily created a set of three Mini Slim cards with the new Triple Slim In the Garden Layering Stencil set! Watch the video below:
In the video, Emily shows off the new Triple Slim In the Garden Layering Stencil set and how she lined up the four layers to stencil the designs on a 5.75″ x 9.75″ piece of Sugar Cube cardstock. She cuts the finished panel into thirds (3.25″) and adds the 3 designs to Mini Slim sized card bases (3.5″ x 6″). Emily adds sentiments to the cards using the Signature Sentiments stamp set or Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day stamp (+ coordinating die). Each of the cards in the set include some sort of silver element to tie the card designs together.
Here’s a closer look at the cards that Emily created:
The colors that Emily used to stencil the layers are Lime Zest, Lollipop, Spearmint, and Eggplant. This first card includes the ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sentiment stamped with the Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day stamp and cut out with the coordinating die. I love the peek of silver glitter cardstock that Emily added offset from the sentiment!
This next card showcases the stenciled floral spray that Emily framed with silver glitter cardstock cut out with the Mini Slim Thin Frame Cutting Plate die. To make sure the whole design was visible, Emily trimmed out a portion of the frame that was covering up part of the floral spray. The ‘hello friend’ sentiment from the Signature Sentiments stamp set is stamped in Oreo ink.
On this last card, Emily stamped the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from the Signature Sentiments stamp set in Oreo ink in the opening between the flowers. For the silver element on this card, Emily scattered Bits & Pieces – Silver Drip Drops throughout the floral design.
Check out the list below for all of the supplies that Emily used one her set of cards:

Noriko Fairchild used the Triple Slim In the Garden Layering Stencil set to create this stunning trio of Mini Slim cards! She stenciled the layers using Guava shaded with Mulled Wine, Pineapple shaded with Honey, Plum Punch shaded with Jelly Donut, and Granny Smith shaded with Peapod inks to create the floral backgrounds and added them to Mini Slim card bases after cutting them out using the Stitched Mini Slim Stacklets die collection. The sentiments on the cards are stamped with the new Signature Sentiments stamp set that you will learn more about below!
The Clearly Crafty Signature Sentiments stamp set is one that you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again! The hand lettered script paired with a typewriter font is a classic style that will match any theme and the 10 sentiments in the set cover a variety of occasions.
The Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day stamp is an easy way to have your sentiment become the focal point of your cards to celebrate Mother’s Day! The easy-to-read serif font includes tails and swirls that make it extra special and it coordinates perfectly with our Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day die (sold separately) if you’d like to add extra dimension.
Kavya created a set of Mini Slim cards using the Triple Slim In the Garden Layering Stencil set and I love how just a change of color gives you an endless possibility of looks. Kavya stenciled the designs over a background that she colored with watercolors and then she added white splatters over the top. The card features sentiments created with a few different products. The card on the left includes the Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day sentiment embossed on Toffee cardstock ink white and cut out with the coordinating die. The card on the top right features the ‘just because’ sentiment from the Signature Sentiments stamp set embossed onto a Double-Ended Flag Stacklets die cut. Finally, for the card on the lower right, Kavya put together the ‘hello’ sentiment with the Cap it Off Alpha die collection.
If you love the versatility of flowers when it comes to making cards, you’ll adore the Planting Happiness stamp set (+ coordinating dies)! The set features a variety of blooms, greenery, and sentiments that can be used individually or layered together to create a unique floral design. Color the images with Copic Markers, colored pencils, watercolors, and more to customize them for your projects.
Jill Hawkins used a single bloom that she created with images from the Planting Happiness stamp set on this sweet card to send love to someone special. The flower and stem are colored with Copic markers and added to an ombre background that Jill created using the Masking Stencils – Rectangles with blue inks set onto a Petite Scallop Rectangle Stacklets die cut. The ‘sending love’ sentiment is from the Love & Hugs stamp set and Jill finished off the card with a bit of stitching and a few Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops.
Kavya used the blooms from the Planting Happiness stamp set to create a floral heart on this Mother’s Day card. The flowers and leaves are colored with Copic markers and Kavya added lots of white gel pen details in her signature style. In the center of the floral heart is the ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sentiment stamped with the Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day stamp and cut out with the coordinating die. The background of the card is stamped with a new background stamp that I will share more about next!
Add a whimsical floral background to your next project with the Flower Patch Background stamp. The background stamp is sized to fill up your A2 sized card fronts and you can use it to stamp a subtle tone on tone look or add color, embossing, and more for endless possibilities. Use the coordinating Flower Patch Layering Stencil set to add color to the Flower Patch background images quickly and easily with your blender brushes!
Emily Mydlowski created a few different cards with the new Flower Patch Background stamp and colored in the blooms with the coordinating Flower Patch Layering Stencil set. I love how Emily did a multicolored look for the card on the left and then did a monochromatic look for the card on the right! the background is so versatile for different occasions by just swapping out the sentiment that you use. The card on the left features the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from the new Signature Sentiments stamp set framed with a small frame from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate die. The card on the right is ready to give for Mother’s Day with a sentiment put together with the Framed Script – Happy die and Building Blocks – Happy Additions stamp.
Heather Nichols brought out the Toffee cardstock to create the background for this thinking of you card created with the Flower Patch Background stamp and coordinating Flower Patch Layering Stencil set. Heather set the stamp up in her MISTI, stamped the design onto the Toffee cardstock, kept the background in place in her MISTI while adding the stenciled colors, and then stamped the background again over the top with Sugar Cube ink. The background is cut out with the largest frame from the Frame in Frame 2 Cutting Plate die and the sentiment is put together with the ‘thinking of you’ sentiment from the On Occasion stamp set and the ‘you make my heart happy’ sentiment strip from the Simple Strips Background stamp.
Add an elegant floral frame and/or floral accents to your projects with the Fancy Florets stamp set. The outline florals are sized for an A2 card front and can be stamped, embossed, and colored to customize the blooms for your projects. Add extra dimension to your projects with the coordinating Fancy Florets die collection.
Jen Shults colored the florals from the Fancy Floret stamp set with Copic markers for this thinking of you card. She cut the border and single bloom out with the coordinating die and added them with foam adhesive to add dimension to a Confetti Cake tone on tone background stenciled with the Paint Swatch stencil. The ‘thinking of you’ sentiment is from the On Occasion stamp set and a few Bits & Pieces – Clear Drip Drops finish off the card.
Noriko Fairchild created a pair of shimmery shaker cards to celebrate Mother’s Day with the Fancy Florets stamp set and coordinating die collection. The floral frame image is foiled by embossing the design with clear embossing powder and then running it through a Minc machine with Gold Deco Foil. Noriko added color to the florals with Blender Brushes and then layered it over an infinity shaker panel filled with Snow Flurries sequins. Both cards are finished off with the ‘Happy Mother’s Day’ sentiment embossed in white with the Get the Word Out – Mother’s Day stamp and cut out with the coordinating die.
Add stunning sentiments to your Mini Slim card fronts in minutes with the Mini Slim Botanical stamp set. The set includes a stamp of a thin rectangle frame surrounded by botanical foliage. Stamp the frame directly on your project or cut it out with the coordinating die for extra dimension.
The Clearly Crafty Mini Slim Botanical Sentiments stamp set includes a variety of sentiments that will fit into the Mini Slim Botanical stamp frame image. Choose from sentiments in a hand lettered font for a horizontal card format or tip your card to a vertical format and use one of the vertical ‘thanks’ or ‘hello’ sentiments in a formal detailed serif font.
We’ve added another Masking Stencil to our collection of stencils specially designed for our Mini Slim cards! The Mini Slim – Thin Rectangle Masking Stencil makes the hassle of masking with washi tape and the possibility of ripping your beautifully blended backgrounds a thing of the past! Simply align the etched lines on the stencil to your card base for a perfectly centered mask, then use low-tack tape or Pixie Spray (sold separately) to adhere the stencil to your cardstock panel. Package includes a stencil with a rectangle opening that coordinates with the Botanical Mini Slim stamp and the solid center of the shape to allow you to easily reverse mask or apply different colors of ink to your project!
This card by Melody Rupple showcases the vertical ‘hello’ sentiment from the Mini Slim Botanical Sentiments stamp set framed with the Mini Slim Botanical stamp. The center of the frame is stenciled with the Mini Slim – Thin Rectangle Masking Stencil set and the foliage on the frame is colored with Copic markers. Melody cut out the frame with the coordinating die and set it onto a background stenciled with the Mini Slim Floral Lattice stencil. There are so many lovely finishes on this card, including the Petite Scallop Mini Slim Stacklets layer and black and white twine wrapped around the background panel.
Noriko Fairchild created a fun, Mini Slim shaker card using the Mini Slim Botanical stamp. The frame is colored with Copic Markers, cut out with the coordinating die, and then acetate is added behind the frame opening to create the shaker element. The heat resistant acetate is embossed with the ‘hello friend’ sentiment from the Mini Slim Botanical Sentiments stamp set. Noriko filled the shaker with Snow Flurries sequins and added it to a background impressed with the Diamonds Piercing Plate.
