Hey, crafty friends, Rachel here! This step-by-step tutorial walks you through creating a patriotic card packed with sparkle using our Foil It – Americana panel and sparkly star foil. Perfect for honoring veterans, active service members, or anyone who loves a little red, white, and blue!

Supplies needed for this project:

• Foil It – Americana panel
• TE Fun Foil Blue Stars & Sparkle
• TE Fun Foil – Red Stars & Sparkle
• TE Foil Cardstock – Silver
• Americana Expressions Stamp Set
• Little Bits Die Set – Stars
• TE Premium Cardstock – Sea Salt
• Versafine Clair Nocturne ink (or other black ink)
• 6 x 6 in. Foil Transfer Carrier
• Foil Machine like the Mini Minc

Americana Foiled Card Instructions:

1. Foil the Panel

• Use the vertical Foil It – Americana panel with the full stars and stripes and pieces of TE Fun Foil – Blue Stars & Sparkle, and TE Fun Foil – Red Stars & Sparkle.
• Gently wipe the Foil It panel with a TE Microfiber Cloth to remove any dust.
• Place the Foil It panel on top of the Foil Magic Shim.
• Lay the blue foil over the stars, making sure to cover the thin line under the stars.
• Lay the red foil over the stripes, being sure to cover the thin line above them.
• Place all layers inside the 6″ x 6″ Foil Transfer Carrier and insert seam first into the Minc.
• Once it runs through, peel off the foil to reveal your beautifully foiled design!

2. Stamp the Sentiment

• In the open white space on the foiled panel, stamp the sentiment “Land of the Free” from the Americana Expressions Stamp Set using Versafine Clair Nocturne ink.

3. Die Cut the Stars

• Die cut Silver Foil Cardstock using the Little Bits Die Set – Stars.

4. Assemble the Card

• Glue two silver stars, one on either side of the sentiment.
• Glue the foiled panel flat onto a Sea Salt card base.

Send to someone who was in the military or is in a VA hospital to honor them!
