In the moooood for Christmas!
When I get in the mood to make Christmas cards I just can’t stop. This is my first one of the year so I’m off and rolling. Only about 300 more to do…aaaaaaahh! And n0… I don’t send out all 300 Christmas cards myself (I have friends, but not that many! LOL!). I’m doing a craft fair and have several regular customers that I also make Christmas cards for so it’s going to be a busy season. I figured I better get started early! And there’s no better way to get the ball rolling than with this *cute* little snowman guy I bought at Michael’s a couple days ago! It’s by Stampendous… one of my fav stamp companies! I’m sure you’ve all met Fluffles also by Stampendous. And if you haven’t met Fluffles you need to plan a meeting in the near future!! Since we moved to California, I’ve had a hard time getting into the red and green Christmas spirit. Red and green is so traditional along with Christmas trees and snow. But out here we have palm trees and not a trace of snow so I figured why go traditional on the color scheme!? I came across this combo while browsing blogs yesterday and I LOVE IT! Thanks to Heather (pinefeather) for the awesome color inspiration!
So now after all my babbling I’ll get to the actual card. The colors are Cool Caribbean, Certainly Celery, and Old Olive. The image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. The metal edge tag and snowflake charm are both Making Memories. I just *had* to add that little rhinestone to the snowflake center for more bling. Oh… and I can’t forget Stickles! I used lots of spark-lay stardust Stickles on the snowflakes in the background.
