—happy cupcake day—
This has been one of the longest weeks at work for me so I am so happy to say…WAHOO… IT’S FRIDAY!! I think it felt particularly long because of my anticipation for the holiday weekend. We really don’t have big plans… just going to a movie, hiking, the beach, and of course creating in my stamp room! And what better way to celebrate a Friday than with cupcakes!? I absolutely *love* this cupcake image from Lockhart Stamp Company. The image is actually one single cupcake that I stamped three times. And the sentiment… how cute is that!? Who couldn’t use a happy cupcake day card?? LOL! A big thanks to Joy (JoyofStamping) for letting me use her Lockhart stamps!! I now have to have them for myself! 🙂
I colored the cupcake frosting with Pixie Pink watercolor crayon and covered with stardust Stickles… mmmm…. glittery cupcakes! The cherries are colored with Real Red watercolor crayon and topped with crystal effects. The baking cups are colored with silver Prismacolor pencil and blended with gamsol and a stump. I got the pink polka dotted paper at the dollar store… can I just say I *heart* dollar store bargains!! I matted the image with black and cut around it with my scallop scissors… scallops go with everything right!? And I just couldn’t leave it alone so I had to add the piercing and white gel pen detail.
I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a fun & safe holiday weekend! I will be around and updating this weekend so check back! 🙂
