Wish Big!
Do you ever have those cards that you are just tickled with?? This is one of those for me. I was so proud I showed it to Jon like I was a little 4 year old with my first art project from preschool. It’s not some great masterpiece, but more of a personal accomplishment. I’m not usually the type of stamper that uses images from different sets on the same card… my brain just doesn’t work that way. I usually stick to using stamps from the same set. This card used 4 different stamp sets! It’s a challenge for me, but something I definitely want to keep challenging myself to do.
Speaking of challenges…this card was for the color challenge on Splitcoaststampers. The colors are Almost Amythest, Bashful Blue, Real Red, and Whisper White. I started out by stamping Simply Circles on the bottom strip of Whisper White paper. I also stamped Simply Circles on the Real Red card base in Versamark. Then I stamped BIG on the Whisper White, masked the G, and stamped the balloons over the top (the balloon image is from Birthday Best and they are also masked). I colored the balloons with Prismacolor pencils and topped them off with stardust Stickles. I added the “wish” from Think Big on a dimensional, and the sentiment from It’s Your Birthday. The focal image is matted on Bashful Blue and then pierced. And I can’t leave out that delicious ribbon… I love the stitches on both sides! But I can’t remember where I got it… Hmmmm… oh well. 😉 Thanks for looking!
