Congrats on your Big News!

Guess what!? I won a card contest that someone posted on SCS! She wanted samples to show her customers, but didn’t have time to host a swap. So she hosted a contest and her customers judged the entries. I ended up winning first place with the Mixed Bouquet card I sent in. First place receieved a $25 CDO! WOOT! I ordered Think Big and it arrived at my doorstep yesterday! This is my first attempt with the set and I can already tell I won’t be able to put it down. It is so versatile! This card started out just with the sentiment “Big News” which I thought would be so fun to send to friends and family to announce our pregnancy. Only problem with that idea is that we’re not pregnant! LOL! So I added “congratulations on your” and I’m just waiting for somebody to congratulate. LOL!
The cardstock colors are Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Whisper White, and the Rebecca designer paper. The background is stamped with Houndstooth in chocolate chip. I did some sponging around the image, added stardust stickles to the b-i-g, and a little rhinestone to dot the i. The “congratulations on your” sentiment is done with Karen Foster snap stamps. The first time I made the card I spelled congrtulations. GRRR! I got so excited to stamp the word that I forgot the a. *rolleyes* I tried to fix it, but Jon said it didn’t look good so I had to do it all over again. The cute little pregnant girl is from The Angel Company… I hope I look as good as her when I’m pregnant. 🙂 I cut her shirt out of the Rebecca designer papers and colored the rest of the image with Prismacolor pencils. Added some of that yummy brown polka dot ribbon and all done!
