Look Ma… no stamping!
I got in a mood recently to make cards without using stamps… a perfect excuse to use up those embellishments that I have so much fun buying, but just can’t seem to work into my stamped cards. The card base is Cranberry Crisp and the patterned paper is from Carolee’s Creations. The circle stickers are also Carolee’s. The little dream charm I picked up at Big Lots (a pack of 6 for $1.00!) and the ribbon is Cameo Coral grosgrain. I used to have a store on Ebay to sell ribbon, but I decided to shut it down for various reasons… mostly that the fees were too high for the low price I was selling my product for. Anyways, I still have 1/4″ grosgrain ribbon in the following colors that match SU! (5 yards for $1.05):
Cameo Coral, Pink Passion, Pretty in Pink, Pixie Pink, Garden Green, Old Olive, Mellow Moss, Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery, Lavendar Lace, Night of Navy, White, and Black
Shoot me an email (link on the right under my picture) if you’d like some! 🙂
On another note… my very sweet hubby stamped me a card. How cute is that!? The card is to congratulate me on my promotion at work and he gave it to me before we went out to celebrate at the Olive Garden. This is the first time he’s done this and it totally floored me! He did so well picking out the colors (Buckaroo Blue and Marigold Morning). I was almost upset that he chose my In Colors and cut up new sheets, but then the thought was just so sweet… how could I be upset!? He did such a great job stamping and coloring the balloons (he used Prismacolor pencils) and he even got out the white gel pen to add some stitching. When he gave me the card he was apologetic that the sentiment was a little bit crooked. The perfectionist in me is rubbing off on him! LOL! It’s not a drop dead gorgeous WOW! card, but I just love the thought of him sitting down at my stamp table to make me something special. What a sweetie! 🙂
