Welcome Fall
I felt the need to do something a bit more elegant last night since the tag tin from yesterday was very cutesy. Speaking of the tag tin… thank you all for your input on what I should charge for them. I’ve decided to charge $10 and if they aren’t selling I can always go down from there throughout the day. I wanted to try the Technique Challenge on SCS yesterday, but I have no sponge daubers (oh, the horror!). So I did something similar, I colored directly onto the leaf images with my watercolor crayons, misted heavily, and stamped onto watercolor paper. Then I went back with my aquapainter and highlighted some areas. I also highlighted the outlines with gold paint pen which you can’t see in the picture, but it gives a nice effect. Lastly, I sponged around the edges with Close to Cocoa ink. The image is layered on Marigold Morning and Chocolate Chip which were both distressed with my Tim Holtz Tonic paper distresser. The Houndstooth background is embossed with a really pretty EP that is mostly brown, but with flecks of gold and rust in it as well. The Chocolate Chip strip is stamped with Houndstooth tone on tone. I added the brown ribbon with faint polka dots and wouldn’t you know it??… when I needed a copper tag I didn’t have one, so silver had to do. And I was looking for a leaf charm, but didn’t have one of those either so a sticker will suffice. The welcome sentiment is from Warm Words and also embossed with the same EP as the Houndstooth background. Thanks for looking! And for those of you in climates where the fall brings the changing of the leaves and cool, crisp air… ENJOY IT! I miss my fall so much!
