Monogram Canvas
I got these cute 4″ square canvases in a goodie package from Ellen Hutson. Thank you soooo much, Ellen! I’m finally getting a chance to play with them! I decided to make monogrammed wall art for my two sisters (Whitney and Hannah) for Christmas. I hope they’re not checking in on my blog! 😉 For both of them I used the On Board Simon Lower chipboard alpha from Stampin’ Up. My only complaint with this chipboard alpha is that you only get one of each letter. I wish I could buy only the letters I wanted. I was hoping to spell out their full names on the canvas, but had to settle for monograms. I covered the chipboard with paper from the Rebecca designer series. I sanded and sponged the edges, and covered them with a coat of Matte Mod Podge. The letters are popped up on dimensionals. For the “W” I used the flower from Big Pieces and punched a hole in the middle. Then I threaded the ribbon through the center of the flower and tied it on the outside. I used Everyday Flexible Phrases to do the “sister & friend”. The sides of the “W” canvas are also covered with designer papers. I hope they like them!
