Beauty Queen… and a winner!!
My mom came over yesterday and we had such fun playing in my craft area! I love working with my mom because her style is so different from mine so she sparks new ideas in me at every turn. We could have created all day, but our time was over before we knew it. This is one of the cards I made yesterday… my little beauty queen. I got this stamp set several months ago and it remained uninked until yesterday. I used paper piecing to do her dress, sash, and rose. The rest is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a stump. I couldn’t resist adding mini Swarovski crystals to her crown. I got them from Cindy’s Ebay store (StarLitStudio). The pink card base is stamped with the new Polka Dots and Paisley set I got from Stampin’ Up as a Christmas gift. I stamped beauty from the Birthday Beauty set, punched it out with the word window punch, added Queen & Co. brads, and popped it up on dimensionals. The silver metal letter charms were a gift from my little sister this Christmas. I threaded silver cording through them and tied it around the card. The strip of black and white ribbon came from Ribbons and Bows Oh My.
The winner of my little after Christmas giveaway is….Marcie! Her favorite gift that she received was a Xyron Wishblade and the favorite gift that she gave was to her 6 year old nephew… an electric guitar. Marcie, please send me an email with your snail mail address and I’ll get your goodies out to you ASAP! Thank you all for sharing a piece of your Christmas with me! I read every comment and it was so fun to read about many of the handmade gifts that you gave for Christmas. Now I have lots of good ideas for next year! 🙂 Happy New Year!!
