Baby Decor
Lately I’ve been in the mood to make baby things… is that a sign!? lol. I highly doubt it, but I guess it is possible. I had the most difficult time photographing this shadow box. The glass is not removable so I had to leave it in for the photo and kept getting a glare because of it. My new photobox really helped the glare issue, but still wouldn’t eliminate it completely. I started by covering the chipboard letters with patterned paper, sanding the edges, and coating with Mod Podge. I adhered the striped paper and the ric-rac to the Certainly Celery base. The chipboard letters are popped up with dimensionals. Then I added Barely Banana ribbon and bows as if the letters were hanging from the top of the frame. The little sentiment says “tiny little thing, great big blessing”. It’s tied around the base with Celery ribbon and held on with mini safety pins. The shadow box is 8×8 and I got it from Joann’s. The receptionist at my office is having a baby in June and I’m secretly hoping it will be a boy so I can give her this frame as a gift. Then it doesn’t have to sit around my place begging me to have a baby just so I can hang it up. LOL! She finds out in a couple of weeks whether she’s having a boy or a girl… here’s hoping for a boy! 🙂
