    Love this card!!!!
Love all your cards and ideas!
Wish I had half of your talent.
I don’t have any acrylic advice as I only use SU ink. I actually do not even own any acrylic stamps – have been afraid to purchase any because I have never used them before.
Have a great weekend and thanks for sharing!!!!

I agree witht another poster: rub a red rubber eraser over the stamp just a bit.
By the way, I found your site from the Paper Trufflez blog list and thought to check it out sometime. When I saw your name on the A Muse contest winners list (we tied for third), I decided to do it. You do great work! And who doesn’t love cupcakes? I’m going to check your archives for more of those designs.

Hi Taylor, I have a sweet friend, Rachele Funk, who is also a CTMH demo. I complained about the same thing and she told me if you take a red rubber eraser and prep the stamp first by rubbing it over the stamp you will get a better image. I have tried this and it does work.Hope this helps. Lois

    Hi Taylor!
First, I just wanted to say how much I enjoy your blog, and all of your wonderful creativity!!
I look forward to your “Cupcake Friday” each week for a special reason—we have called my grandma “Grandma Cupcake” since we were little. One of my uncle’s friends stayed w/ them one summer and didnt want to call her by her first name, and felt calling her Mrs Clark was too formal since he was living with them, so he began calling her “Cupcake” and it just stuck! So, I just wanted to say THANKS for the great goodies, and making each Friday special to me for a unique reason!!

Yeah for CUPCAKE Day! I don’t think I’ve ever met a cupcake I didn’t like. *wink* Taylor all of your creations are just FABULOUS! Thank-you for all the wonderful comments you blessed my blog with today!

Very nice – TFS! I like Colorbox fluid chalk ink or Palette Hybrid inks best for my clear stamps. Clear stamps do vary in quality too though.

Awww – love this one! Very chic!

    Taylor!
I miss you! Taking a look at your blog gave me such a great view of what you’re up to these days since our communication is so lacking! Seriously, have they not offered you fat-salary job with some sweet stamping place yet?? You’re amazing! It’s neat to see you’ve found your niche to channel all those creative juices :). I’m waiting for a picture on your blog to display your craft room (I have visions of Lindla’s find-a-gift-for-anyone-and-about-a-million-other-cool-things in the basement in Sioux City!) And you have to promise not to clean it up before you take a picture, either! Ha ha. Have a wonderful weekend!

    Hey Taylor,

Love the card!! As for the acrylic thing, I have tons of CTMH stamps and love, love, love them. I have a 12 x 12 purple foam piece from See D’s that I use under all my stamps and it seems to work great. The foam sheet that comes with the CMTH stamp sets works just as good too!! I have both SU Classic Ink as well as CTMH Ink and that doesn’t seem to make a difference for me, but maybe a totally different type of ink would..not sure there. Everyone has their own little ways of making things work for them and these are mine, so just thought I would share them with you. I have lote of SU sets as well and love them too, just love the ease of using the clear acrylic sets and thye are so darn handy to store. Anyway, thanks for the great Cupcake Friday card and have a super weekend!!

    I Love Cupcake Friday!
The block look is very cute!
I have no advice for you on acrylics. I only have a few sets and have not used them much at all. I think the one that I did use I used Stazon with it and it worked pretty well.

  • Jami

YEA! Cupcake Friday! I love Cupcake Friday! Super cute card. Hey have you tried the Pallete Hybrid ink yet? You can try it next time you’re over and see if it’s any better. I’m not a fan of acrylics though!

    Hi Taylor,
I look forward to reading your blog everyday! You have some fantastic cards & ideas.
I use some acrylic stamps from Close To My Heart & they include a very thin sheet of foam in with their stamp sets. I have found that using the foam as a cushion under the paper I am stamping, helps in getting a clean image. I have an extra I could send you if you would like to try it. You can email me your mailing address at a.carter2201@lebermuth.com & I will get it in the mail to you.
