MFT New Releases!
We had a fun Halloween, but only 20 trick or treaters. Well… 21 if you count Jon! He decided to be funny so he rang the doorbell. I opened it to find him wearing a lampshade on his head and saying “Trick or Treat!” LOL! He cracks me up! Thank you all for your comments yesterday! I
had Jon choose a number between 1-39 and it’s lucky number 32… Tina Hammer! Tina, email me with your address and I’ll get the belated Halloween card off in the mail! Today marks the release of three new sets from My Favorite Things. My first card uses By the Seashore, the November mini set of the month. You can purchase all of the new releases at Eclectic Paperie or My Favorite Things. The Cosmo Cricket Dutch Girl collection reminds me of a little cottage on the water out East. I’ve never even been out East and yet I can picture this little cottage! LOL! I used the Cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder for the waves and added the boardwalk in front using Dutch Girl Lena & Hans patterned paper. The wooden poles were stamped onto faux wood patterned paper from a retired Stampin’ Up pack. Each of the poles is
embellished with small pieces of hemp. I colored the woman with a combo of Copics, Prismacolor Pencils, and aquapainter. The gray/blue sky was done with Prismacolor pencils, gamsol, and a stump. My second card is an out of the box use for the new Build A Bouquet set. This is the first entirely bold image set that MFT has released and I’m loving it! There are so many possibilities beyond the flowers! I used a circle stamp from the set to create a snowman and then flipped one of the vases upside down for his top hat. The paper is Shimmer Flock Snow Veil from the new Heidi Grace Frost Collection. The flocked paper speaks for itself so the image didn’t need a lot of embellishing. These would make such quick and easy Christmas cards! The sentiment is from the set Sassy Sayings. The new sentiment release is called Essential Sentiments. I didn’t feature it on any of these cards, but there are some wonderful sentiments and they all fit inside the word window punch! Make sure you check out the blogs and galleries of the other design team members for more new release ideas! Thanks for stopping by today!
