Mantel Decor
We have one of those eclectic faux fireplaces in our living room. The fireplace is one of my favorite parts of our new house, but the mantel has been bare for a while now. We have a large picture hanging above the mantel and two candlesticks off to one side, but the other side needed a little decor. So when I saw this vertical album from Glue Art & Paper Studio I knew exactly where it was going! This is a 12×12 vertical album, but they also have 6×6 and 8×8. We had some leftover black spraypaint from another home decor project so I spraypainted the frame black. I used one of my favorite wedding pictures as the focal point. The patterned paper is Wild Asparagus by My Mind’s Eye. I embellished the page with some May Arts black gauze ribbon and organdy polka dot ribbon along with a few charms and rhinestones. The red cardstock layer is stamped with a swirl from The Angel Company. I inserted the page into a Making Memories 12×12 page protector and hung it from the rod with binder clips. The vertical albums come with binder clips, but the page protectors are not included. I like how this turned out and I think it’s classic enough to be a decor piece in our living room for a long time. If you want to purchase a vertical album for yourself, check out Doodliedoo! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I have some exciting news to share and a little project that I need your help on tomorrow so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by today!
