I’ve been so excited to share this project with you all week! Another one of my goals for 2008 is to dig into my Bible to learn more about the stories and parables and allow God to speak to me through scripture. I’d been praying about how other women might join me in my resolution when an answer to prayer appeared in my email inbox! The email was from Lori Craig who I met at SoCal Stamp Mania last April. She became an instant friend. It is still so amazing to me how many of my closest friends come from our shared love of stamping! Lori had the excellent idea of gathering women who love the Lord and love to be creative for a montly Bible verse challenge. Each month Lori, Jami Sibley, Angel Wilde, Nancy Morgan, and myself will be posting a verse we’ve found in our reading that is particularly meaningful to us. This month I chose the following verse from Philippians:
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
This verse reminds me that as a follower of Christ I will never arrive. I will never know everything. I will never be perfect. I will never say everything or do everything right. But despite all that God will continue His work in me, through me, and for me so that I may continue to grow and change.
We’d love to have you join us in our monthly Bible verse challenge! If you have a verse that is particularly meaningful to you, I’d love to hear about it! Or if you have a project to share, I’d love to see it! We’ll be posting on the 8th of each month so put that date on your calendar if you’d like to join us! We’ll also be using keyword BVC08 to upload at Splitcoast! Thanks so much for stopping by today! Check out the other challenge posts from these bloggers:
