Breathe
Breathe in…. breathe out…. breathe in….breathe out. I’ve had to constantly remind myself to breathe over the past couple weeks as CHA approached and deadlines loomed in the not so distant future. I was telling some of my coworkers about the Bible Verse Challenge over dinner last night and one of them suggested this verse. I firmly believe that God speaks to us through friends, family, and even people we don’t know. God spoke through my friend last night and I heard loud and clear… “Be Still, Daughter.” And when I consider the second part of the verse, “Know that I am God,” the important to-do list and never-ending deadlines fade into the back of my mind. I picked up this picture frame on my search for inspiration at Target last weekend! I just love the colors! And I’m sure I’m not alone in the fact that I can’t get out of Target without dropping at least $50! I better not have too many lapses in creativity, or our budget will suffer! LOL! I made this frame for a friend and I hope the verse is as meaningful to her as it is to me. Make sure you check out the other challenge posts from these Divine Designers: Lori Craig, Jami Sibley, Angel Wilde, and Nancy Morgan. We’d love to have you join us in our monthly Bible verse challenge too! If you have a verse that is particularly meaningful to you, I’d love to hear about it! Or if you have a project to share, I’d love to see it! We’ll be posting on the 8th of each month so put that date on your calendar if you’d like to join us! If you upload your creation at Splitcoast, use keyword BVC08. Today is extra special because it’s Cupcake Friday! Happy Cupcake Day! The color inspiration for today’s cupcake card was drawn from the frame. I used a Stampendous acrylic set for the Happy Birthday 2U and I managed to make use of the tiniest cupcake image in my collection. This cute little image is from Short & Sweet, a Stampin’ Up set. The cupcake is punched out with the 1/2″ circle punch and makes the perfect center for the Prima. The heart rhinestones are from A Muse. I decided to try another sketch for today’s cupcake challenge. You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? ๐ If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC3 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 3). If you post on your blog, leave a link in the comments so I can check it out! Thanks for stopping by today! I’m heading off to CHA tomorrow and I have some exciting news! While I’m at CHA I’ll be contributing my 2 cents (along with lots of product pictures!) on the Splitcoast @ CHA Blog! You can view the blog here. I’ll also try to keep up with updating my own blog as well! I have one more little piece of news before I sign off. Make sure you check back here tomorrow night! At midnight EST I’ll have something to show you! My lips are zipped until then! ๐ I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
