Hooray for Twins!
Jacob and Tyler were born just a week ago to our friends, Jason and Carolyn. The twins are their first two children… so much for testing the waters with one! Jon and I are bringing them dinner tonight and we wanted to bring a little gift as well. I bought these cute little onesies at Target that say “Daddy’s Little Wingman” on them… how cute is that!? It’s not very often that I find myself shopping in the baby section so I was surprised to find that there are so many absolutely adorable outfits and blankets and bibs and hats and mittens and booties and and and……not to mention the necessities like carseats and diapers, I mean how many diaper choices do we need?? I was overwhelmed and I’m not even the one with the babies! lol I also ended up with some cute little booties for the boys. I put one booty inside each plastic egg and decorated the Papertrey Egg Box with Piggy Tales patterned paper, May Arts ribbon, Papertrey’s Just Hatched stamp set, and a couple mini star brads to finish it off. I purchased the plastic eggs at Target. I was originally annoyed by the eggs because they had two holes in the top. I thought… did I buy salt shaker plastic eggs!? After I got over my initial annoyance with the eggs I tried to think of something to cover up the holes. I decided to thread grosgrain ribbon through from the inside and tie it into a bow on top… a perfect use for those holes! It would be so cute to tie little baby charms onto each egg too! I just didn’t have enough on hand to execute that idea. The card is made with a new Stampin’ Up set that has some adorable sentiments just for twins. It’s available in the new Occassions Mini Catalog on March 1st. So that’s it for today! I will be skipping Cupcake Friday tomorrow to fill you in on some BIG NEWS that’s even better than cupcakes! Stay tuned tomorrow morning (the earlier the better!) for the announcement. It will be posted here on my blog at 8am Pacific Time (10am Central, 11am Eastern). You won’t want to miss it! I can hardly wait! *giddies*
