Papertrey Ink Sneak Peek
Are you so excited for Papertrey Ink sneak peeks!? As more sneak peeks are revealed throughout the week I can guarantee your excitement will grow! I’m bouncin’ in my chair as I type this! For my sneak peek I decided to use the Wedding Day set by Alli Miles. It’s such an elegant set with so many possibilities. When I give a wedding or bridal shower gift, I love to have a coordinating gift package and card. I also love to personalize it for the recipient. As I was perusing the aisles of Target (where you’ll often find me!), I came across a really cute gift bag. I found myself envisioning how I could recreate it using my new Papertrey stamps. So here’s my Target inspired gift bag. Here’s what you’ll need to make it yourself:
(1) small white sack (cut to 6 1/8″ long)
(1) Berry Sorbet cardstock 4 1/4″ x 8 1/2″ (scored at 2 1/4″)
(1) Berry Sorbet cardstock 4 1/4″ x 6 “
(1) Select White cardstock 4″ x 5 3/4″
I started by stamping one of the design elements from the Wedding Day set in Berry Sorbet ink onto the white cardstock piece. I didn’t need a ruler or gridlines to create an evenly spaced background. The square stamp is easy to line up with the four points on each corner and very forgiving if it isn’t absolutely perfect.
I filled in the rest of the background by stamping the square design again in Sweet Blush ink.
Adhere the stamped background piece to the shorter (un-scored) piece of Berry Sorbet cardstock. This gets adhered to the front of your white paper bag. The longer piece of Berry Sorbet cardstock is adhered to the back of the white paper bag with the scored part
creating the flap to the bag.
I created the closure using a Spellbinders scalloped circle die. For a personal touch, I added the ‘B’ monogram from the Ambassador Monogram Alphabet set. The bag is closed with velcro and tied with Sweet Blush satin polka dot ribbon.
This is the finished project! You can check out the Papertrey Ink Design Team Gallery on March 15th to see the coordinating card. I’m sure you’ve all been there already, but just in case, make sure you check out Nichole’s blog for another sneak peek!
