Boot-iful Basics
Good morning! The Papertrey Design Team is at it again with another challenge titled “Boot-iful Basics.” The challenge was to use the boot from Green Thumb in a new and creative way. Given my recent shoe shopping excursion over the weekend, I thought this sentiment was appropriate. In fact, it’s my new motto! So far I have applied it to many aspects of my purchasing… “if the markers work, buy one in every color.” Done! If the paper is pretty… buy one in every color.” Yep… done! As I was lining up the sentiment with my Simple Alphabet set, I was pondering what Jon would consider his “shoe shopping motto.” If Jon had made this card it would have one pair of boots stamped on it and this sentiment: “If the shoe fits… buy one pair and wear it until it falls off your feet.” LOL! I like my motto better, but I digress. 😉 I stamped the boots in Colorbox Chalk Ink Tangerine, Ice Blue, and Lime Pastel and added some shading with my C-1 Cool Gray Copic marker. The polka dots on the blue boots are highlighted with Stardust Gelly Roll pen. The cardstock colors are Soft Sky, Pumpkin Pie, and Wild Wasabi. The Wasabi layer is stamped with Polka Dot Basics in Lime Pastel ink. I stitched along the bottom of the image and placed rhinestones below that. Make sure you check out the other Boot-iful Basics challenge cards: Debbie, Heather, Lisa, Amy, and Nichole. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
