Thinking Outside the Tin
Good morning! Can you believe it’s May 1st already? I have fond memories of May 1st growing up because my mom would drive us around to deliver May Day treats to all our friends. I got such a kick out of leaving a treat, ringing the doorbell, and running. It’s a tradition I hope to carry on with my kids someday! The 1st of the month also means another challenge with the Papertrey Ink Senior Design Team. This month we’re “Thinking Outside the Tin” and showing you different ways to use the tins that have become known to most as Nugget Tins because of the Hershey Nuggets that fit so well inside. I decided to create a wedding favor with my tin. I started by covering the bottom of the tin with the polka dot pattern from the Pink Patterns Collection. Six jasmine scented tealights fit nicely inside the tin with a little extra wiggle room. If you wanted to get really technical, you could use a small glue dot to keep the tealights from moving around in the tin. I used Berry Sorbet and Stamper’s Select White cardstock along with my Spellbinder’s circle dies to create the tag and wrap. The ribbon is Satin Swiss Dot in Berry Sorbet and the stamps are from Favor It Weddings and Boxes, Bags, and Tags. Make sure you check out the creative genius of the other design team members: Heather, Debbie, Amy, Lisa, and Becky! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
