Papertrey Ink Sneak Peek
It’s time again for another new release from Papertrey Ink! This time of the month just doesn’t come quickly enough! Today I’m featuring Honey Bees, a beautiful bee set by Candice Aguilar, with lots of fun sentiments. I thought it would be fun to create a beehive using the word window punch! Following are the step by step instructions:
I started by stamping the honeycomb pattern repeatedly on a 4″ x 4″ piece of Lemon Tart paper.
One of the punches will become the bottom layer of the beehive and provide a guide for punching the rest of the layers. Insert the remaining punches back into the word window punch and punch off a small amount of the shape to build the layers of the beehive.
You’ll end up with five graduated sizes of word window punches resembling a beehive. Overlap the punches slightly and pop them up on foam tape for added dimension.
Here is my finished card. I used Papertrey Lemon Tart, Basic Black, and Stamper’s Select White cardstock. The bee is a two-step stamp which I love! I stamped the yellow part of the bee first and then used Versamark so that I could emboss the black part of the bee. The sentiment is also embossed in black, and the ribbon is Papertrey Lemon Tart grosgrain. Thanks for stopping by tonight! Make sure you check out Nichole’s Bee-utiful sneak peek too!
