Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #17

Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! Guess what else is happy about today!? Jon is coming home! And guess what else!? It’s Memorial Day Weekend! Today is a good day. I even did laundry last night so my panty drawer is full again. 🙂 I used Partygirlabella paired with Notebook patterned paper from the Crate Paper Katlin Collection for today’s cupcake card. I colored the image with Copic markers and added lots of bling in the form of pink and yellow rhinestones and Stardust Stickles. The Bubblegum twill is from Taylored Expressions. I’ve been so excited to tell you about my fun cupcake challenge announcement. I decided to ask a few awesome ladies to join me in sampling the sketch challenge each week! at the end of this post and you’ll be able to check them out for even more inspiration! I always find it inspiring to see many different interpretations of the same sketch. I also wanted to give you all a fun way to get involved with the sketch challenges. Each week, I plan to have a Featured Cupcake Sampler! The cutest and most creative sample from the previous week will receive the featured cupcake sampler honors. The winner will receive the sketch ahead of time in order to create a card that will be featured along with a link to your blog on Cupcake Friday! Jennifer Meyer is starting us off as the first Featured Cupcake Sampler. This is her adorable card using the sketch this week. Make sure you check out her wonderful blog Jennifer’s Sweet Designs! I will also continue to give away a prize to one random winner from all the submissions. Finally (kudos if you’re still with me!)… here’s the sketch challenge: You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not use ’em!? 🙂 You’re welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you’ll be eligible for the prize drawing!
