June Divine Design
Good morning! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! From my post on Friday, you know I was expecting to have a relaxing weekend. Isn’t it amazing how quickly that unscheduled time gets filled with the never-ending to-do tasks!? Nonetheless, it was a productive weekend capped off with the most wonderful dinner at The Melting Pot. We went out with a few of our friends to celebrate the publishing of their book. Congratulations, Bob and Tara on your newest book, From Followers to Leaders! Thank you to all of you who participated in the sketch challenge this weekend! I haven’t had a chance to comment on all of your beautiful creations yet, but they are wonderful indeed! The winner of the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors is Laurie from Just Give Me Stamps! I’m sure you all have visited Laurie’s blog many times and followed her fabulous work as part of the Dirty Dozen. You can check out her adorable cupcake card here! And the winner of the satin ribbon from Taylored Expressions is Sherry Kile. You can see Sherry’s adorable card here. Sherry, email me with your snail mail address and I will send out your goodie package right away! Yesterday was also the day of the Scripture Chicks Divine Design Challenge. We all had a busy weekend so we came to a consensus to post our projects today instead. My verse this month is from Matthew 6:33-34
“But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself.”
So much of life is filled with worry. We worry about our family, friends, finances, health… the list goes on and on. But Jesus tells us not to worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. I think we can capture an important understanding about life when we learn to be content in every situation and turn those worries over to God. So that’s why I selected this verse. Each time I read it, it inspires me to turn to God in prayer and to seek after His righteousness. I hope you will all consider playing along in the Divine Design Challenge this month. You can read all the details here! And make sure you check out the beautiful creations from the other Scripture Chicks: Lori, Jami, Angel, and Nancy. Thanks for stopping by today! Stay tuned tonight at midnight EST for a Papertrey Ink sneak peek!
