Flowers for Daisy
When Asela asked me to help her showcase the new Flowers for Daisy stamp set, of course I said yes! Asela is such a sweet soul and even though we haven’t met in person, I have a feeling we would be instant friends. Asela used her fabulous talent to design this set in honor of her friend, Daisy, who is courageously battling cancer. The set will be available to purchase on July 24th from Gina K Designs. When you purchase this set, $4.00 of every retail set sold will go to the American Cancer Society from now until the end of August. I know cancer has had a profound effect on many of us. Gina K and Asela are providing such a tangible way for us to make an impact and add some beautiful stamps to our collection at the same time. You can read more details and check out more Flowers for Daisy samples on Gina K’s blog. For the first card, I pulled out some daisy patterned paper that I had leftover from the spring cards I made with the Imaginsce For Peeps Sake collection. I stamped the daisy in Memento ink and colored it with Copic markers. The I masked off the flower and taped an oval Spellbinders die around the image to do the airbrushing. Then I popped up the main image and added some polka dot ribbon from American Crafts. The second card uses patterned paper from GCD Studios. I colored the image with Copic markers, sponged it with VersaMagic Aloe Vera ink, and popped up the image panel with foam tape. I finished it off with my favorite sentiment from the set and some Artichoke grosgrain ribbon. That’s about all I have for today. Thanks for stopping by! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
