Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #39
Good morning! Happy Friday and Happy Cupcake Day! You can still check out all the details on the Stamp a Sweet Impression holiday release below! There are still chances for you to win some great contests and giveaways, but the Cupcake Friday Sketch Challenge must go on! For today’s cupcake card, I used the mistletoe cuppie from Season’s Sweetings and masked out the eyes and mouth. So now you have a festively decorated cupcake! I colored the cupcakes with Copic markers, added Crystal Stickles to the frosting, and a Red Candy Dot for the cherry on top. The background is embossed with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. You’ve been seeing a lot of it lately because whenever I have something out on my desk it gets used a ton until I have to clean again. lol. Right now I’m creating on a small 3″ x 3″ square of table… my room is a disaster. This will probably be the last you see of Swiss Dots for a while because I HAVE to clean tonight! Then I added some red & blue glimmer, and pink gingham bows to complete the sketch. I didn’t get a chance to decorate
the inside of the card, but I already know I want to use the Peace, love, & Cupcakes sentiment. Now let me introduce you to the Featured Cupcake Sampler this week! Kathie Bailey created this hilarious Flaunt It card for last week’s sketch challenge. It’s totally cute and it made me chuckle! I just love the patterns and colors she chose for her card this week as well and those cute little cupcakes look delicious! You can check out all the details on Kathie’s card at her blog: Just an Inkling. Thanks for sampling the sketch this week, Kathie! Now it’s your turn to to try the sketch! I’ll choose the most clever, creative, and cute creation from the submissions this weekend to be the Featured Cupcake Sampler next week. Your design and blog will be featured on my blog during Cupcake Friday. You’re not required to use cupcakes for the challenge, but if you got ’em why not
use ’em!? You’re welcome to create something other than a card, just stick as closely to the sketch as possible and you’ll be eligible for the Featured Cupcake Sampler honors. If you’re uploading to Splitcoast use keyword TECC39 (for Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge 39). Leave a comment on this post with a link to your blog post or gallery upload so I can check it out! You must have your cards uploaded by Monday, October 27th at 8am PST to be eligible for the featured cupcake sampler. I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
