On the 5th Day of Christmas…
Good morning! I can’t believe it’s already December 8th! This is the last month of the Divine Design Challenge with Lori, Nancy, Angel, and Jami. I have enjoyed seeing all of the beautiful and inspirational creations from these women and from the rest of you who played along with the Bible Verse Challenge during the last year. Christmas is fast approaching so I thought it would be appropriate to share two of my favorite verses from the Christmas story:
“And the angel said to them, Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord.”
Of course I didn’t realize this until right now as I’m typing this up, but for some reason I wrote Matthew 2:10-11 when the verse is from Luke 2:10-11. My only excuse is that it was late and I was tired. 🙂 I’ll have to print out a new one later tonight. I printed the verses in Word using KonTiki Enchanted font. I cut and embossed the sentiment with a Spellbinders circle die and did the same for the scalloped circle layer. The card base is Riding Hood Red and I used some patterned paper from a package of pre-printed My Mind’s Eye cards that I picked up at Hobby Lobby in Texas. The ribbon is Stampin’ Up taffeta in Riding Hood Red. I stamped the Christmas star image from the Home Sweet Home set in Versamark ink, embossed it with gold embossing powder, and cut it out. Even though I haven’t started yet, I think these cards will be easy to mass-produce in time to send out in the next week. Don’t forget to check out more scripture inspiration from these other wonderful ladies: Lori Craig, Angel Wilde, Nancy Morgan, and Jami Sibley. And if you’d like to join in the Divine Design Challenge with us, you can read all about it here. Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you all have a wonderful day!
