Life is Simple & Pleasant
“Life is just a bowl of cherries.” I’ve heard this idiom many times, but I’ve never stopped to think about what it means. This morning my tired brain decided that it wanted to think about it! And all it could come up with is “life is sweet, shiny, and red?” Well the sweet part makes sense, but that’s about it! So I decided to Google it (TGFG….thank goodness for Google!) and came across this helpful explanation. And so that explains the title of my post today. Sorry for the boring “idioms of the English language” lesson! *grin* Now on to the details of my card. I decided to use my Berries & Cherries stamp set today paired with some extra scraps of Cosmo Cricket Early Bird patterned paper. I started by stamping the bowl of cherries in Memento Rich Cocoa ink and coloring it with Copics. I paper pieced the bowl with the same pattern in background. Then I glued down one of our new Red Hot Frameabellies around the image and trimmed closely with my scissors. The cherry border along the bottom (from the Berries & Cherries set) was markered, huffed, and stamped. I added Glossy Accents to the cherries and a Green Apple Silk bow with a little sentiment tag tied on. Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you all have a wonderful day!
