TESC100 – You’re So Sweet
Today is an exciting day because we’re celebrating Sketch 100 at Taylored Expressions! I wanted to do something in my typical bright style for the big party so I grabbed my Basic Grey Sugar Rush 6×6 pad and picked out the patterned paper. I often start with a pattern in mind and then pick cardstock colors, images, and embellishments from there. So I matched up some Classic Red, Black, and Vibrant Cobalt cardstock and decided to pair it all with the Sprinkled with Love stamp set. After gluing the layers together I saw my lonely sewing machine sitting in the corner and decided to add a few zig zag stitching details. I know this is going to sound silly, but I currently only have a black bobbin and I’m too lazy to read the instructions about how to make another bobbin so I can only do stitching when I have black accents on my card. How silly is that!? My mom is coming over today and she is a master seamstress so I think I’ll just have her teach me how to load a new bobbin! Then I’ll avoid reading the frustrating instruction manual! I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, paper pieced the dish, and colored the rest of the image with Copics. To finish it off I used one of my absolute favorite new embellishments, Basic Grey Sugar Rush Bloomers, with some black polka dot ribbon and black pearls.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you’ll join in the fun with our Sketch 100 celebration!
