Taylored Expressions October Sneak Peeks: Sack It To You
The time has come! The Baker’s Dozen and I are starting off the October Release with sneak peeks of the newest TE stamps and dies! It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at the TE Store as our shelves are being stocked with snowflakes, Santa, and lots of red and green! All of our new products will be available for purchase at the TE Store starting at 7am PST on Thursday, October 3rd.
Today our talented design team is featuring three new stamp sets and eleven new dies! Each designer has something unique to share so you’ll want to make sure you hop around to all the blogs listed below. Here’s a look at my first project and my favorite new die:
Meet Sack it to You and Bonus Santa dies! This little bag was created with our new Sack it to You favor box die that is sold along with the parts to make the bag resemble our favorite holiday fellow. In addition, we’re also releasing separate parts to create a penguin, reindeer, and snowman something like these:
To fill my favor box I bought some M&M’s and sorted out the red and green ones (since the holiday M&M’s aren’t in stores yet), some Rolo’s, and pretzels. These are super easy to make and really yummy. I just set the Rolo on top of the pretzel and melted it in the oven for about 5 minutes. Then when I took them out I pressed the M&M into the top. I packaged the pretzel treats in a crystal clear treat bag and tied it off with a tag created using the new Holiday Treat Toppers die.
The bag is really easy to assemble! I used Scotch Adhesive Dot Roller and it holds great! You could also use 1/4″ Sticky Tape if you have some of that on hand. Here are the supplies I used from the TE Store:
For my second project I used the new Christmas Doodles stamp set, Big Bold Christmas stamp set, Color Block Cutting Plate, and ‘Tis the Season Project Pantry kit:
First, I’ll talk about this awesome cutting plate! The red portion of this card is cut out in one piece to create blocks for an A2 card front. You can then easily fill in with images, sentiments, patterned paper, and even pictures (can’t wait to show you my project tomorrow!). But that’s not all, the cutting plate includes 11 separate dies where each block has two inner layers that will snap out and can be used to layer other patterns, colors, etc. within the blocks! Here’s a look at the packaging for this plate so you can get a better idea of what I’m trying to explain:
The ornaments are from the Christmas Doodles set. The chalkboard style sentiment and the 2013 date stamp are from the Big Bold Christmas set. The cardstock and patterned papers are from the ‘Tis the Season Project Pantry kit featuring a new Echo Park collection (one of two holiday kits releasing this month!). And last, I cut the holly using Split Pea felt and the previously released Very Merry Outlines dies and finished it off with some red goosebumps for berries. Here are the supplies I used from the TE Store to create this card:
As I mentioned above, each of our fabulous designers has something unique to share so you’ll want to make sure you hop around to all the blogs listed below.
