Taylor’s Expressions: A Baby Memory
Good morning, crafty friends! As we prepare for the Thanksgiving holiday later this week, I hope we’re all keeping in mind what truly matters (although very yummy, it’s not the perfectly browned turkey!). While we’re home for the holidays we’ll be celebrating the newest addition to our extended family at a baby shower for Bethany Joy.
I put together a gift basket including a few of my favorite ‘new mommy’ items like a Wubba Nub, monthly onesie stickers, and aromatherapy bedtime bath wash (smells so good!). And what little gal can do without her very own handmade monogrammed onesie with matching baby legs and headband!? I picked this up from a local vendor fair and it’s definitely a must-have! *wink*
I sat down in my studio over the weekend as I needed a card to go along with the gift. As I perused my baby themed stamp sets I came across the Bringing Home Baby stamp set and decided to created a little scene.
I wasn’t expecting the memories to come flooding back as I used this stamp set. This set was a concept that was released while I was pregnant with our first daughter, Madelyn. As I designed her nursery I envisioned a stamp set that would allow me to design a nursery on paper. And that’s how Bringing Home Baby was born (yes… pun intended!).
It’s the little touches that truly make a special baby card. I paper pieced the polka dot patterned sheets and cut the small scalloped crib skirt from one of the scalloped rectangles in the Color Block Cutting Plate. The monogrammed frame on the “wall” over the crib was the final personal touch.
On another note, do we have any Black Friday shoppers out there? Just wanted to let you in on a little something. Our holiday elves are busy stocking shelves here at the TE warehouse in preparation for our biggest sale of the year later this week!
