Blog Design Team: Shiny & Bright!
Happy Friday! This month, we are welcoming all the new members of our incomparable Blog Design Team. Today is the very talented Amy Kolling‘s inaugural post and she is sharing a stunning stamped and die-cut Christmas card that is just perfect for the holidays.
So, to send us off into the first weekend of December, we are giving away the stamp set and die set Amy used on today’s project! Keep reading for details…
Amy’s Notes: With the holidays upon us now that Thanksgiving is over, everyone is
getting ready to send those holiday cards they’ve made. I wanted to create something truly classic.
Amy’s Notes: I started by die-cutting the Shiny &
Bright Ornaments dies into a gray cardstock panel. I used the
coordinating stamp set, Shiny & Bright, to stamp the ornaments first
in a gray ink and then over-stamped again with Versamark ink. To this I added some glitter embossing powder to make the ornaments sparkly!
Amy’s Notes: Next, I
die cut the stamped ornaments. I stamped my ornament “strings” using
the squiggly line stamp from From Me to You in Versamark and heat
embossed with white embossing powder.
Amy’s Notes: My gray diecut panel was
adhered to a white top-folded card with lots of foam adhesive. I then
inlaid my stamped diecut ornaments. This really gives dimension to the
card! My sentiment was heat embossed with silver embossing powder and
trimmed into a small banner shape and adhered with foam adhesive.
Amy’s Notes: The
last details are the clear sequins and some silver crochet thread bows.
I hope your holidays are just as shiny & bright as this!
