Introducing: If Cats & Dogs Could Talk & Bistro Lights Cutting Plate
Hey there, crafty friends! It’s our last day of sneak peeks before we release all of the gorgeous garden and wedding themed products we’ve been sharing these past few days. And today we have something with a completely different theme to show you! If cats and dogs could talk, wouldn’t you want to know what they would say? We have a couple cuties to add to our popular critter collection.

For my first project I pulled out the If Dogs Could Talk Stamp & Die Combo. I love these pets and their funny sentiments!
I started by choosing the expression for my dog and stamping it onto his face. Note: The nine expressions in this stamp set will come together as one image and will need to be trimmed apart with a scissors. It’s easy to do and saved the fingers of the wonderful people who cut our stamps. Small pieces and an electric saw = dangerous!
I colored the dog with Copics and die cut him with the coordinating die from the combo set. I die cut the Arbor Fence from white, Wispy Grass from Granny Smith, and small clouds from Salt Water Taffy cardstock. After all of my pieces were die cut I began assembling the scene so that my cut lil pup would be standing on some polka dotted grass in front of the white picket fence.
I finished the card off by adding the largest frame from the Frame in Frame Cutting Plate around the outside of the scene and stamping the sentiment on the bottom in Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
For my next project I went back to the wedding theme that you’ve seen throughout this release. This project uses the Bistro Lights Cutting Plate and even though this is wedding themed I’m excited to explore this die for birthdays and other occasions too!
I started by die cutting the plate from Sugar Cube cardstock. I colored several of the bistro lights with silver and gold paint pen and then glued sequins from the wedding mix to the remaining open spaces. We’ve also included several small circles as a separate die to make it easier to piece several colors over the design.
I adhered the design to a piece of vellum and embossed Mr. & Mrs. with silver and gold embossing powders directly onto the vellum. Then I popped up this entire piece onto a Sugar Cube card base. The vellum backing gives it that slightly faded, ethereal quality that I associate with bistro lights at a beautiful outdoor wedding.
