Blog Design Team: You Make Me Happy

The week is almost over, friends, and we hope you are getting some sunshine. Today, Blog Team Member Amy Sheffer has created a wonderfully cheerful card for us. Check it out…

Plus! Because we are feeling a little spring friskiness, we’re giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store to one lucky winner! Read on for all the details…

And now, here’s Amy to tell us all about her project…

I think by now, if we’re not already enjoying some warmer temperatures,
we’re certainly looking forward to them! Today I’ve combined some
favorite TE products to create an inviting Spring scene.

    The background
was done with the Ray of Sunshine Cutting Plate, along with a cheery
yellow polka dot pattern from the Build A Scene Paper Pack.

    For the
focal point circle, I created a scene using patterns from the Build A
    Scene Paper Pack
and the Build A Scene – Rolling Hills die. The bicycle,
from Bikes & Trikes, is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black, colored
with Copic markers, and die-cut using the coordinating Bikes & Trikes
dies. The bicycle flag is stamped with a sentiment from Think Happy
    Thoughts
, adhered to a toothpick, and tucked behind the bicycle.
The word “happy” was cut with the die that’s included in Think Happy
    Thoughts.

Before adhering everything to a Salt Water Taffy card base, I
added a layer of vellum behind the Ray of Sunshine die-cut and popped it
up with foam tape. It gives the open sections of the Ray of Sunshine
    die-cut an interesting translucent quality.

    Thank you for joining me
today! Hoping your March is going out like a lamb!

Thank you for sharing such a fun, springtime card with us today, Amy! You can find more of Amy’s beautiful work on her blog, Pickled Paper Designs. Have a joyful day!

Are you yearning to create something as sunshiny and happy as this card? You’re in luck because one lucky winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store to help get started!
