Hey there, crafty friends! It’s time to start sneak peeks for our April Release! I’ll admit, creating projects for today’s sneak peeks has given me a serious case of baby fever! I recently returned from a trip to visit my new nephew and there’s just nothing like the sweet smell and soft, squishy, cuddliness of a baby. This week we’ll be celebrating everything from babies to grads as we sneak peeks at 10 new stamps sets, 23 dies and cutting plates, and a brand new collection of Matched patterned paper, cardstock, and sequins!
The Baker’s Dozen and I will be sharing our sneak peeks starting today and as always you’ll have your shot at winning one of four giveaways just by tuning in here on the TE blog this week!
All of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE web store beginning on Thursday, April 9th at 7am PST! In the meantime, check out the prize that’s up for grabs today! Just leave a comment for your chance to win!

For my first project I decided to dig out some of Charlotte’s newborn photos and work on another pocket layout. Even though the photos are never-ending, I love the joy that I get from scrapbooking them!
I chose some photos that worked well with the new Double the Joy patterned paper. I thought I’d share a little bit about my process of designing a pocket layout:
- I start my layouts by choosing the photos that I want to use. I usually try to pick about 6-7 photos and then narrow it down from there.
- Then I choose the pocket style that will work for the photos I selected. I had all horizontal photos so I chose a design with four horizontal pockets.
- Then I decide where to put the photographs by laying them on top of the pockets and rearranging them until I’m happy with the layout.
- After that I begin mounting my photos and then finally begin filling in the open pockets with mini layouts using stamps and dies.
I wasn’t sure where I was heading with the ‘title’ card, but I love how it turned out! I used the Block Party – Baby die with the P&P 4×6 Essentials and layered it over the purple star pattern from the Double the Joy paper pack.
The other two smaller pocket cards were designed using some of our new baby themed little bits. I added some stickers to the photos to fill open space. You can also see in this closeup that I used our new Pockets & Pages – Stitched Essentials to mount the larger photos and smaller inserts (more on that new set of dies coming tomorrow!).
For my second project today I made a card for my mom using the My Favorite Mom stamp set. These sentiments were designed to make you chuckle and I hope this one will bring a smile to my mom’s face this Mother’s Day (or really any day!):
I wanted to keep the layout simple and let the sentiment do the talking. I paired the sentiment with hearts die cut from the Heart Stacklets set and papers from the Simple Stories I Am collection.
I added several of the coordinating enamel dots around the hearts to finish it off.
Thanks so much for joining us for our first day of sneak peeks! Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win. I’d love to hear one of your favorite new products from our showcase today.
