Blog Design Team: The World is Waiting
Happy, happy, Tuesday, crafty friends! Today’s project from Blog Team Member Amy Sheffer is all about heading off into the world after a job well done. Check it out…
And now, here’s Amy to tell us all about her project…
I love graduation season! It’s such an exciting time to honor past
accomplishments, look ahead to the yet-to-be-written chapters of a young
person’s life, and be the new graduate’s cheerleader as they venture
forth.
The globe and sentiments in The World is Waiting stamp set capture the graduation
season perfectly! (The sentiments are also great for travel, new jobs,
and new ventures of any sort.)
For today’s card, I stamped and
water-colored a globe, then fussy cut around the perimeter. I placed the
globe on a piece of grid paper pattern that I turned into a notebook
page using the Notepaper Border die.
Along the bottom, I used the Build A
Scene – Rolling Hills die to cut a scrap of Granny Smith card stock
into a hill, where I stamped “The World Is Waiting” sentiment in black
ink. I’m in love with the font combination of these sentiments!
For
embellishments, I added some wood veneer stars and a binder clip adorned
with some black and white baker’s twine. Everything is mounted to a
panel of the brick pattern from the Build A Scene 6×6 Paper Pack.
Thank you for sharing such a wonderful and adventurous card, Amy! You can find more of Amy’s beautiful work on her blog, Pickled Paper Designs. Have a joyful day!
