I’m super excited about the underwater scenes I made with the products we’re sharing today! My first card uses the previously released Under the Sea stamp set with its new coordinating dies and the new Build a Scene dies for a perfect underwater scene!
I started by die cutting the waves with the Build a Scene – Rolling Waves dies. I love the stitching detail on these! I stamped and colored the crab with Copic markers and die cut him with the coordinating die. Then I die cut several pieces of seaweed, shells, and coral with Build a Scene – Underwater and a bit of sand using Build a Scene – Rolling Hills. I put the whole scene together and finished it off with a flagged sentiment using Banner Stacklets 1.
For my second projects I used the Rolling Waves dies as a stencil to create this airbrushed background for my card. I love getting more than one look from the same set of dies!
After airbrushing the waves onto Sugar Cube cardstock I cut and assembled the Little Bits – Fishing Boat die and used an Xacto knife to cut a portion of the wave open so that I could slip the boat inside. I think it makes it look more realistic to have the boat in among the waves.
After placing the boat, I built the underwater portion of my scene using Build a Scene – Underwater dies, Build a Scene – Rolling Hills for the sand, and the tiny orange fish from the Little Bits – Fishing Boat set. The sentiment is from the Punny Love stamp set.
Thanks so much for joining us for our first day of sneak peeks! Don’t forget to leave a comment for your chance to win.
