Let’s hear from Kay about her project…
Hello friends! It is getting closer and closer to that spooky time of
year, so I thought I would create a Halloween card to share with you
today. Taylored Expressions has so many fun Halloween dies, that it was a
breeze putting this fun card together!
I first watercolored my
background. I used Peerless watercolors in bright yellow, blue and gray. I
did not wet my paper, like I usually do, because I didn’t want my moon
to run all over the whole card. I wanted it to retain it’s roundness. So
I started with the moon and painted a circle with yellow. Then I took
the blue and went around that. They did blend together some, and that’s
exactly what I wanted. I used the gray last, down at the bottom, to give
the illusion of ground. I let that dry, speckled it with drops of water,
and let it dry again very well.
I mounted this piece onto a top folded
A2 size white card base with foam tape. I cut the haunted house from 13 Dead End Drive out of
black card stock, then used liquid glue to adhere it to the
watercolored panel. I cut the tiny bats out with the Halloween Scene Lil
Bits dies and glued those down as well. I cut the ghost out of Sugar
Cube card stock and adhered them with foam tape for a little dimension.
The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder and cut out
with the Label It die, and then adhered with foam tape. There you have
it! A fun Halloween card sure to spook the bravest soul! Hope you have a
