Sneak Peeks! Think Outside (no box required)!
Good morning, crafty friends! Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks for our May Release! Today we’re exploring the outdoors with a new On the Road series of dies, as well as coordinating dies for the Happy Trails stamp set, and the most adorable teepee you’ve ever seen! Just a reminder that all of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE webstore on Thursday morning at 7am PST! In the meantime, there will be lots of inspiration as well as your chance to win it before you can buy it right here on the TE Blog!
So how do you win it before you can buy it? By answering my question of the day, of course! My question for today has you thinking about your favorite road trip destination. If given the choice, I would totally choose to fly somewhere (and stay in a hotel), but I can certainly appreciate the adventure of a good road trip and an evening under the stars!
For answering today’s question, you’ll be entered to win the On the Road – Camper!
The fine print: Leave your comment before Wednesday, May 4th at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a $50 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, May 5th, 2016.
And now for today’s projects! What better way to explore the great outdoors than in your very own GLAMper!? I’ve been having so much fun playing with this little camper. In fact, I cut all the pieces out of four different colors and pieced them back together so I have three more of these glampers ready for future projects!
After settling on all the little details of my glamper (notice the curtains!), I started building my scene with a campfire and trees from the new Build a Scene – Lakeside die set. And the Starry Night Cutting Plate was the perfect touch to finish the scene!
I cut the design from Blue Corn cardstock and set it aside. Then I cut another piece of Sugar Cube cardstock to fit behind, added a piece of adhesive sheet, and rubbed yellow glitter over the adhesive to make my own glitter cardstock. The stars really pop with the glitter behind them! The sentiment is from the new Paddle Out stamp set.
I thought it might be helpful to see how our new On the Road dies can be assembled so we put together these Style Sheets that you can download to reference later!

Before you head out to check on the rest of the amazing inspiration, I have one more project to share with you today! This would be great for any outdoorsy dad! I’m not sure if my dad qualifies for ‘outdoorsy’ as the one time he took us camping he forgot the poles for the tent and there were tornados in the area so we slept in the Suburban. #epicfail I blame this experience for ruining my view on camping! *wink
So this card uses our previously released Happy Trails stamp set. Why am I using a previously released stamp set? Well, because now it has two new coordinating die sets to go with it! I started by stamping the mountains and loosely watercoloring with Peeled Paint and Tumbled Glass. Then I stamped the trees near the mountains and colored up the little trailer with Copics.
After assembling the scene I made the last minute decision to shift my sentiment up a bit and include the Block Party – Dad at the bottom. And I framed it all with the new Stitched Rectangle Stacklet die cut from a woodgrain pattern in the Build a Scene 6×6 Paper Pack. I can tell this set of dies is going to become one of my best friends!

That’s it for me today, but the rest of our crafty team has much, much more to share with you so make sure you check out their blogs. They’ll be showing the new products I used above as well as those shown below that I didn’t get a chance to use in my projects:
