Sneak Peeks! Trick or Treat? Ummm… definitely TREAT!
Hey there, crafty friends! I think the title of my blog post says it all! Today the creative team and I are focusing on Halloween treats. When given the choice, “Trick or Treat?”, I will always choose treat! And Halloween happens to be my very favorite holiday for creating handmade treats. This year we’re pairing old favorites with new favorites for lots of spooktacular treat ideas!
All of the products we’re sharing this week will be available for purchase at the TE webstore starting Thursday, August 4th at 7am PST.
But, there’s a chance you could win it before you buy it! How? By answering my question of the day, of course! And it probably comes as no surprise… with today’s theme I’m wondering about your favorite Halloween treat!
Leave your comment before Wednesday, August 3rd at 11:59pm PST. One entry per person. Each comment will also be entered into our Grand Prize drawing for a $50 gift certificate to the TE webstore! Winners will be chosen at random and announced on Thursday, August 4th, 2016.
For this year’s Halloween treats, I combined our new Mini Treat Sacks in Kraft & White:
with the Bag It & Tag It stamp set:
and some of my favorite colors of TE ink.
Here’s how my treats turned out:
TIP: The mini treat sacks are made from a thin paper (similar to a paper lunch sack) and the ink will bleed through. So I cut a piece of scrap cardstock to fit the sack and inserted this piece inside before stamping the image on the front.
Stamping the treat sacks took a short 10 minutes (nothing better than quick and cute!) so I spent the rest of my time embossing/stamping the ‘trick or treat’ sentiment onto tags cut from the Stitched Bracket Stacklets. I added a piece of Little Bits – Candy Corn to the tags and then closed them up with a binder clip or clothespin that I decorated with washi tape.
