A Bushel of Birthday: Day 3 Sneak Peeks!
Good morning, crafty friends! It’s the last day of sneak peeks before we officially kick off our birthday celebration! All of the new products will be available for purchase at the TE webstore beginning tomorrow at 7am PST! It’s been exciting to share everything with you so far and today we have one more group of fall and birthday themed products to show you.

To mark our eighth birthday, we’ll be giving away EIGHT GIFT CERTIFICATES throughout the week! Gift certificates will be awarded in increments of $10 all the way up to $80. That means we’ll be giving away one gift certificate in each of these 8 denominations: $10, $20, $30, $40, $50, $60, $70, and $80!

A winner will be chosen from among all the orders placed between Thursday, September 1st at 7am PST and Sunday, September 4th at 11:59pm PST. Only U.S. shipping addresses are eligible (sorry… they don’t ship cupcakes overseas!).
Today the Creative Team will be sharing a combination of fall and birthday creations along the hop. I think I’ll start with a fall project using the Simply Stamped – Leaves set:
I don’t think I have appropriate words to describe how much I love this set! The detail on the multi-layered leaves is so pretty! For this project, I used multiple colors of Tim Holtz Distress Ink as follows:
- Red: Worn Lipstick, Festive Berries, Fired Brick
- Yellow: Scattered Straw, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey
- Green: Shabby Shutters, Peeled Paint (off-stamped once), Peeled Paint (fully inked)
I started by stamping the most solid layer of the leaves throughout the background so I could make sure my arrangement was good before spending time on the layers. Then using a Stamp-a-ma-jig tool to line up the layers, I stamped the remaining portions of the leaves. I wanted a little bit more highlight to the background so I colored the open spaces with Copic (Bg10, BG11).
To finish it off I die cut and popped up one of the stamped leaves and also added a couple die cut leaves from the Mini Leaves die set.

We’re also featuring more birthday themed products (apparently we had a lot of birthday ideas to get out there!) and I’m especially happy with how this fun card turned out:
I knew I wanted to use the Bitty Banners die set and I discovered that our Mini Caps Alpha dies fit perfectly inside to spell the word ‘happy’. After finishing the banner I wasn’t sure where I wanted to go so I grabbed the Bold Balloons set and started stamping. The Pink Champagne and Mint Julep are two of our new colors this month and they complement the Cookie Monster, Lollipop, and Salt Water Taffy perfectly!
And last, but certainly not least, we have one more special guest joining us today to show off another project using the Wish Big Stamp & Die Combo which is FREE with purchases of $50 or more starting tomorrow. Here’s a bright and beautiful card by the fabulous Lisa Henke! I love the primary colors she chose with the soft blue background!
