Happy Fishes To You!
Tomorrow is Turkey Day, crafty friends! We know many of you are traveling, so we wanted to send you off with a quick little bit of creative inspiration. Today, we’ve got a sweet card from Creative Team member Charmaine Ikach. In it, she shows how, with just a quick alteration, it’s easy to customize your project to your personal specifications! Check it out…
A Note from Charmaine:
I just LOVE the Mama and Me stamp set! I love the adorable images and wanted to use it in combination with the In & Out – Birthday stamp set. I created the background with some Distress Inks and acetate on watercolor cardstock by using the “smooshing” technique and then die-cut a window in the cardstock. The fish were stamped and colored with Copic markers on the card base and then I adhered the watercolored “window” piece onto the card base with foam tape. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in Sugar Cube ink. As far as the inside sentiment, the actual sentiment reads “May all your wishes come true”, but I omitted the “w” on wishes when I inked up the stamp and stamped it. Then I hand-lettered my own “f” to make is “fishes”.
Isn’t that so clever of Charmaine? Love it! Check out more of her work on her blog, Oodabug Alley. Have a safe and joyful Thanksgiving!
