November Sneak Peeks Day 1: Your Art on Display!
Hey there, crafty friends! I hope you all had an awesome weekend! It’s hard to believe that we’re almost ready to tear off another month from our 2017 calendars. The end of October brings lots of Halloween happiness (can’t wait for the kiddos to get all dressed up in their costumes!), but it also marks the start of sneak peeks for our November release.
Our November release is full of products to get you inspired to create handmade holiday gifts. This year our release focuses on two of my favorite Christmas gifts to give, hand-crafted sets of notecards and handmade calendars. Today we’re featuring the calendar aspect of gift-giving and one very special product designed to help you and your gift recipients display your artwork throughout the year. This also happens to be our double points special offer for the November Release so here’s a quick look at the new Display Easel and details of the special offer before I get to the fabulous inspiration!
For a limited time, earn DOUBLE CRAFTY POINTS when you purchase the Display Easel die!

For today’s sneak peeks, each of our talented Creative Team members has used the Display Easel in a unique way to show just how versatile it is for the display of multiple types and sizes of calendars and small pieces of art too! Plus, you’ll also want to check out my video to see just how easy it is to assemble.
Over the years, we’ve become known for our popular calendar products including the Mini Tear Off Calendar, 3×4 Calendar, and 5×7 Calendar. We also have several fun stamp sets designed for monthly calendar creations and you might already have Calendar Critters or Flowers for a Year in your collection. Here’s a look at our most popular calendar products so you have an idea of what you’ll see used with the Display Easel:
As I mentioned above, we have previously released the Calendar Critters and Flowers for a Year to go with the 3×4 calendar. I know how much you all love the Grumplings so this year we decided to add Calendar Grumplings to our collection of calendar products. Here’s a look at the stamp set and coordinating dies:
I used this on the project that I shared in the video and here’s a look at my completed 3×4 calendar using the Grumplings:
Hehe… these guys crack me up! This would be the perfect gift for that snarky someone on your list. I tried to keep my additional supplies to a minimum by using the same two die sets for all of the sentiments plus Build a Calendar and Build a Calendar 2 for most of the other elements. A few enamel shapes went a long way for embellishing a few of the months. Here’s a look at how the base of the easel can be used to store the calendar months until they’re ready to display.
You can also see the ledge adhered directly to the front of the easel as a resting place for the calendar. If you don’t prefer the ledge, you could also use clear photo corners to hold the calendar months for easy trading when the month is done. Keia Shipp-Smith shows how the easel looks with the mini tear-off calendar. Just move the ledge up to provide a space for monthly artwork to be switched out with the mini tear-off calendar adhered below:
By moving the ledge all the way to the bottom of the easel, Kim Singdahlsen shares how a decorated 5×7 calendar can be displayed:
I also mentioned above that the Display Easel can be used to show off small pieces of art like ATC cards or our 3×4 watercolor panels with encouraging sentiments. Wouldn’t this project by Gayatri make a beautiful addition to any desk?
Last, but certainly not least, I’m thrilled to share that we have a new addition to our Creative Team! I know how much you all loved the projects Noriko Fairchild created as a Guest Designer for our October Release and I know you’ll be so impressed with what she has to share with us this week. Welcome, Noriko!
For now, I’m going to leave you with this adorable calendar page by Noriko. Hint: there’s a hidden element in this that you won’t want to miss! Make sure you hop around to all the creative team blogs because you just never know what awaits you at the next stop. I guarantee you’ll never be disappointed!
But wait, before you head off to check out more of the amazing projects from the creative team, I have a prize to give away with my Question of the Day! Just leave a comment with your answer to the question below and you could be one of our lucky winners!
