Joy Baldwin created the card for today’s video using the new Pennant Parade – Valentine stamp set and Pennant Parade dies. Watch the video below to see how Joy created this card from start to finish:
In the video, Joy shares how she created the cute Valentine banner on her project by stamping the patterned pennants from the Pennant Parade – Valentine stamp set and cutting them out with the coordinating Pennant Parade dies. Joy created the sparkly background on her card with the Heart to Heart stencil and Moon Dust glitter gel. The sentiment in her project is embossed in white.
Here’s a closer look at the products that Joy shared in the video:
The new Pennant Parade – Valentine clear stamp set coordinates with the previously released Pennant Parade Cling & Clear Combo stamp set. There are 5 new Valentine-themed pennants along with seven sentiments that you’ll find yourself reaching for again and again. We are also releasing the new Pennant Parade dies to perfectly cut out the patterned pennants and arrange them however you’d like. There are three dies included in the set to make it easier to cut out multiple pennants at one time!
This card has such a sweet, soft look and I love the details that Joy added. After stamping the patterned pennants with colored ink, Joy added a layer of Versamark ink over the top so that she could emboss them with clear embossing powder for extra shine. She cut additional pennants out of Earl Grey cardstock with the Pennant Parade dies to add extra dimension and definition to the pennants. For even more sparkle, Joy sprinkled a few Bits & Pieces – White Rhinestones around the sentiment on her project.
The list below includes all of the supplies that Joy used to create this project:
Here’s more inspiration from the TE Creative Team and a closer look at a few more of the new products from our Valentine release:
Jill Hawkins went for pink and purple inks to create the pennant garland for this sweet Mini Slim card created with the Pennant Parade – Valentine stamp set. I like how she added a bit of extra dimension by inking the tops of the pennants in a darker ink tone. She hung her pennants on a piece of burlap twine and strung them over a background stenciled with the Masking Stencils – Square Windows set. The ‘you are my favorite’ sentiment and tiny heart stamped in Oreo ink are also from the Pennant Parade – Valentine stamp set.
The patterned pennants in the Pennant Parade – Valentine stamp set are the perfect addition to your cards to make them extra festive! Gayatri Murali strung the pennants across the top of this Valentine card featuring the Love from Max & Millie stamp set (keep scrolling for a closer look at this new stamp set + coordinating dies). She also added several of the sentiments from the Pennant Parade – Valentine set stamped in Oreo ink around her design and finished things off with a healthy sprinkling of Bits & Pieces – White Rhinestones.
Back by popular demand is the cutest duo, Max & Millie! This time they’re spreading the love in the Love from Max & Millie stamp set (+ coordinating dies). The set includes four images along with five coordinating sentiments to create the sweetest Valentine projects.
Annette Allen has Millie floating through colorful Valentine hearts on her card created with the Love from Max & Millie stamp set. The background is stamped with the new Hearts a Plenty Cling & Clear Combo set in an assortment of Valentine colors and Annette colored the balloons that Millie is holding to match. I love Millie’s heart cloud that’s helping her float away and how Annette stamped the ‘love you’ on a light pink heart for the sentiment on the card.
The Max on this Mini Slim card by Jill Hawkins just cracks me up! He looks so excited to be wearing the heart antennae and wings for Valentine’s Day. I love the patterned circle behind Max that Jill created with her Blender Brushes, the Masking Stencils – Circles set, and the new Mini Slim Swiss Hearts stencil. This card also includes a few of Jill’s signature details like the stitching at the top of the card and the embossed lines going down the bottom half of the card front.
Latisha Yoast has Max floating away in his hot air balloon on this card made with the Love from Max & Millie stamp set. Max is colored with Copic markers and added to a heart filled background that Latisha created with the new Heart of Hearts Layered Stencil set. A bit of red and white twine tied in a bow at the top of the card front completes the Valentine look!
Create adorable tags to celebrate all things Valentine with the Tag Team – Valentine clear stamp set and the coordinating Tag Team dies. The set includes Valentine and love themed sentiments along with several small images and three pattern blocks designed to embellish the end of the tags.
Treat boxes are made easy with our pre-cut Scalloped Treat Bag – Valentine set. These easily fold into the cutest little treat boxes that include pre-punched holes to thread ribbon or twine for a closure. Add decoration to the boxes with stamps, stencils, and more! The Scalloped Treat Bag – Valentine pack includes 12 pre-cut, unassembled boxes in Cherry Pop, Pink Champagne, and Toffee (4 of each color).
Laurie Willison whipped up a whole bunch of treat boxes using the Scalloped Treat Bag – Valentine pack in her classic clean and simple look. She used the Tag Team – Valentine stamp set (+ the coordinating Tag Team dies) to create the labels across the tops of the treat boxes. Can you spot the tiny watermark heart that Laurie added to each of the treat boxes? I also heard that these might just be full of chocolate…!
And finally for today is this cute as can be treat box created by Latisha Yoast featuring Max from the Love from Max & Millie stamp set. The Toffee cardstock treat box is from the Scalloped Treat Bag – Valentine pack and Latisha added the heart pattern on the bottom edge and box flap using the heart stencil strip from the new Stencil Strips – Love set. She finished her treat bag off with a tag that is created with the Tag Team – Valentine stamp set.
That wraps up the inspiration I have to share today – did you see anything that caught you eye that you want to try recreating? I currently have patterned banners stamped, cut out, and ready to create with on my craft desk! The stencils from this release have been so much fun to create with and I haven’t even started playing with the new Stencil Strips – Love set!
