Doodles
I’ve had several people ask me recently about the doodles I’ve been outlining my images with so here’s a little doodling lesson. LOL! First I’ll answer some questions…
1. Can anybody learn to doodle?
Yes… anybody can doodle. You don’t have to have any special drawing or artistic ability to make great doodles.
2. What do you use for your doodles?
I use the smaller end of a Black Stampin’ Write Journaler from Stampin’ Up and occasionally the very fine Sharpie marker when my journaler is buried among my mess. 🙂
There are three main ingredients to my doodle…. the line, the squiggle, and the dot. You can see each of these in this penguin card I recently made and several others below. The key to doodling is to relax and let your hand be free. Most of my doodles are not symmetrical… a little whimsy is the point of doodling in my opinion. And lastly, like your mother always told you… practice makes perfect!
Some of you are probably laughing now at the fact that I did a lesson on doodling but hopefully some have benefited from this!
