Vellum & Transparency Window
When I saw the Color Combo Challenge on SCS this week, I had to try it again (view challenge here)! You may remember I made a card with this color combo about a week ago which was originally inspired by Jami. To start the card I cut a window in the Cool Caribbean card base that would fit the snowman stamp from Festive Favorites. The snowmen are stamped on vellum and then I flipped it over and colored on the back. The snowmen are colored with sparkly white Pearl Ex with an aquapainter dipped in the floorwax. The rest of the image is colored with WWC. I added white liquid applique on the vellum layer to look like snow. I cut a frame from Regal Rose, matted with Certainly Celery, and then cut around with the scallop scissors. The scallop layer is then pierced and outlined with white gel pen. The Regal Rose frame is stamped with a snowflake from Snow Flurries in white craft. The piece of vellum and the Regal Rose frame are then sandwiched with transparency attached with the silver brads. The card base is stamped with the Dotted background and also highlighted with a snowflake stamp from Snow Flurries. Some of the dots are also covered with stardust Stickles. The Let it Snow sentiments are embossed with white diamonds EP. Finished it off with some Rose ribbon tied around the top and scallops along the bottom. It’s hard to get a good picture of cards with transparency on them. I have to experiment more with that! But… I was late for work this morning so I had to just snap a picture and get a move on! LOL! Thanks for looking!
P.S. I am working to get caught up on my emails so if you have sent me an email in the last 48 hours, hopefully you will get a response today! Thanks for being patient with me!
