Guest Blogger: Kimberly Crawford Day 1
We feel so lucky to have the lovely and talented Kimberly Crawford as this month’s Guest Blogger. In the crafting world, she’s a true star and this former elementary school teacher now shares her amazing projects as a Go-To-Gal with Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking magazine. When she isn’t creating, she loves to golf, take photographs, play the piano, and bake. She lives on the edge of a cornfield in eastern Iowa with her very supportive husband and son, cat included.
AND, we’re giving away a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store! Keep reading for more details…
Kimberly’s Notes: When I received all my fabulous stamps and dies, I immediately knew I wanted to create a birthday ensemble! Monsters and little boys are the perfect theme for a party and I cannot wait to share all my ideas with you. For the rest of the month, I will add a few more pieces to the ensemble. Today I am starting with the part that kicks of the festivities, the invitation.
Supplies: Party Monsters, Big Bold Birthday stamp sets (Taylored Expressions); Spotted Cutting Plate, Party Banner Border (Taylored Expressions); cardstock, ink, Copic markers, clear card box, paper straw, balloon, punches
Instructions:
1. Die cut Spotted Cutting Plate from blue cardstock. Back with orange cardstock.
2. Adhere the panel to a kraft cardstock base.
3. Punch a circle from cream cardstock and stamp with sentiment in green ink. Adhere to background.
4. Cut a paper straw in half and adhere to background around sentiment circle.
5. Die cut Party Banner Border from green cardstock. Trim to fit in between the straws. Adhere.
6. Stamp Party Monsters image onto cardstock. Color with markers. Trim out and adhere.
7. Punch star confetti from aqua cardstock. Pour into card box.
8. Add balloon to card box.
9. Slip invitation inside the card box.
Kimberly’s Tips:
• The box is mail-able through the USPS. It will have to be shipped as a package.
• Print the party details on a piece of paper and place it on the back of the invitation.
• Put candy or other treats inside the box also.
We can’t wait to see more of Kimberly’s party ensemble! You can find her on her blog, For the Love of Paper.
