Guest Designer – Jeanne Streiff Every Summer
Happy Friday, crafty friends! I hope you all have some plans to get out this weekend and enjoy some beautiful weather! And if you happen to be stuck inside in the cold or rain, our Guest Designer Jeanne Streiff is here today with a project that will have you heading to the freezer for a cool summertime treat!
Jeanne’s Notes: Summer reminds me of water and ice cream! Every summer we would make homemade ice cream with all the neighborhood kids taking turns cranking the ice cream maker. My card incorporates both of those summer memories.
Jeanne’s Notes: I started out with a quick “water” background by scribbling and blending a light and medium blue Gelatos stick onto white cardstock. I spattered a little water on and then lifted the paint in those areas with a paper towel.
Jeanne’s Notes: After everything had dried I die cut both my painted background and some white cardstock with the Hexagon Cutting Plate. I added my white hexagon die cut to an aqua card and then filled in all the small hexagons with pieces from the painted die cut background.
Jeanne’s Notes: I added a sentiment from Big Bold Summer (what a fun summer sentiment set!) and for decoration added an ice cream cone at the bottom corner (Little Bits – Ice Cream Cone.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Thank you, Jeanne, for the fun tutorial! And she’ll be back one more time later this month to share more inspiration with all of us! Have a great weekend! Hope to see you here on Monday for some fun when TE and Fancy Pants join forces!
