For my first project today I pulled out the adorable For Peep’s Sake paper pack and paired it with the Wishes on a Wire – Easter stamp. I love the Wishes on a Wire series because 1) they’re super cute and 2) they’re not too time-consuming to color (i.e. not a lot of time spent shading).
After coloring the image I began picking patterned paper and cardstock to match (which was totally easy with the Matched Kit right in front of me!). I embossed the card front with the Dotted Lattice embossing folder and then began gluing down the patterned paper pieces.
I added Doodlebug Sprinkles around the image and within the holes of each birdhouse, clouds die cut from the Happy New Home set, and for a little extra dimension I stamped and cut out the Happy Easter sign again and popped it up with foam tape.
For my next project I grabbed the adorable Somebunny Loves You stamp set. These little critters are just too cute! And this time of year I’m sure everybody wants to be somebunny instead!
I imagined these ‘bunnies’ standing on stage for the Easter Bunny Auditions so that’s what I set out to create on this card.
I cut the top of the curtain with the Medium Scallop Border and added the white dots with my Pico Embellisher (Wedding Dress). I haven’t spent much time with the Pico Embellishers yet, but so far they are super fun! These little dots were easy to make and they dry like enamel dots. That’s a big plus for me because I go through Sprinkles like water! And it’s nice when I want to make smaller dots than are available in the packages.
I hand-cut the sides of the stage curtain and added little tie back bows with Bumblebee Doodle twine.
After coloring and die cutting the critters with the coordinating dies, I arranged them on the stage and added some Easter eggs to set the scene for auditions. I also decorated the Easter eggs with the Pico Embellisher so you can see the really fine details you get with this product.
So which one do you think wins the part!? *wink*
